Frida

This is a tribute to my little and longtime companion, Frida. She had been a rescue when she came into
our lives at 3 months old, and was different than the usual Jack Russell terrier from the start.
Surprisingly quiet and composed, she loved cuddling and was determined to go everywhere with me,
even if it meant chasing all day after the horse I was riding. Big personality in that little body, and big
heart. She was an amazing huntress, attacking with ferocity any snake she ever came across, and
becoming over the top excited whenever I took out a gun for target practice.
After 14 years, we had to say good bye to her, and she rests now among the cottonwoods in our bosque
by the river.
